March 30, 2020:
Information from Principal Calendo
On March 30, Governor Ducey announced school closures through the end of the school year for public and charter schools only. He is following the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the announcement from the White House to extend social distancing guidelines until April 30, 2020. In his statement, he concludes with the following, "Today’s announcement applies to Arizona public schools, both district and charter. Private schools are required to remain closed in alignment with federal guidance recommending closures through at least April 30. School leaders have the option of announcing closures through the end of the year, or waiting for additional guidance."
God is with us!
Our campus will remain closed until April 30 as per the the alignment with the federal guidelines with the hope that we could return to campus sometime in May. We are going to take this as an opportunity to pause, pray and wait for additional guidance. Our school district leader for the PSW district, Rachel Klitzing, supports this decision to pause and pray for the Lutheran schools in Arizona. As this week unfolds we will share more about what this looks like for our CG community including special events that are on our calendars for April and May.
