Mission & Values

Dear Parents,

At Christ Greenfield Lutheran School we value Christ, Quality, and Community. We provide a place where children can grow spiritually, academically, and socially in a caring environment where they are encouraged and challenged to reach their God-given potential.

We go to the extreme for others to experience CHRIST.

We do whatever it takes to provide exceptional QUALITY.

We intentionally cultivate a Christian COMMUNITY.

CHRIST  is our cornerstone. All things at CGLS are built on Him. When it comes to purpose, people, and programs, He is the way, the truth, and the life that we follow. We utilize the Christian Character Formation Project to guide our students through Biblical studies and character development with focus on seven core virtues: Courage, Diligence, Integrity, Justice, Respect, Responsibility, and Self-Sacrifice.

We work hard to provide the highest QUALITY educational program for all students from preschool to eighth grade. CGLS is richly blessed with a dedicated and experienced staff who are God’s hands and feet as they teach and mentor our students throughout the school day in their roles as teachers, aides, office staff, coaches, etc.

We believe that God calls us into COMMUNITY. At CGLS, we want to be your educational home where lasting friendships are formed and opportunities for fellowship abound. Unique to CGLS is that parents often walk their child to the classroom in the morning and all parents need to come inside for pick up at dismissal. This encourages making connections with your child’s teacher and the other CGLS families. Parents are also encouraged to become involved in their child’s educational experiences, such as field trips, classroom parties, Parent Teacher Organization, and other school activities.

It is a blessing to serve as the principal (and mother of one student and two alumni) at CGLS! May we join together in raising up our children in the ways of the Lord.

Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Feel free to stop by anytime between 8 am and 4 pm OR schedule a tour of the school here! We can't wait to meet you!

Joyfully His,
Principal Tanya Calendo
