At Christ's Greenfield Lutheran School, we believe that every child should benefit from a Christ-centered education so we strive to assist families in their efforts. Successful tuition assistance programs have been put in place that the vast majority of our families are able to access making CGLS affordable. There are several avenues for assistance.
We sincerely strive to do whatever we can to help families where financial needs exist. Each year our school has a limited amount of scholarship funds that are available to help families who demonstrate additional need beyond the already discounted tuition. These grants are available only to those who go through the financial assistance process.
Arizona Tax Credit Opportunity
Thanks to Arizona State Legislature, we have an extraordinary opportunity to help hundreds of children obtain a Christian education. We encourage all families considering Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran School to become familiar with and utilize the Arizona Tax Credit opportunity available to us each year. This program allows others to help with tuition costs for your child with a direct tax credit. Although there are many tax credit organizations, CGLS primarily utilizes the Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization.
Do you know how to claim your Tax Credit?
To receive your tax benefits for the 2010 tax year, contributions to www.ACSTO.org must be made by 12/31/10.
ACSTO stands for the Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization. This organization helps to implement the private school tuition tax credit law passed in 1997. The law gives every AZ taxpayer the ability to designate their AZ tax dollars (couples may donate $1000 and individuals $500) to support a Christian Private School, like Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran School. More specifically, you can select a student of choice at that school. Christ’s Greenfield chooses to use ACSTO because over 90% of every dollar given goes towards students that need scholarships. A tax credit donation provides a dollar for dollar reduction in Arizona tax in addition to a Federal itemized tax deduction. Not only do you get your money back, it is a great way to promote Christian education and direct your tax money to something you support. Students who wish to receive these funds must complete an application every year, in order to receive them, even if funds are specifically donated for them.
