A lifelong musician, Lyndsay officially began "making a joyful noise to the Lord" at the age of three when she took her first piano lesson, and she hasn't stopped since! She is a graduate of Concordia University at Irvine with degrees in both Music (vocal performance/conducting) and Secondary Education, as well as Master's work in music education. Following college, the Lord took her on a year-long detour as Miss California 1996 (a preliminary to the Miss America Pageant), where she was blessed with countless opportunities to witness through both speech and song. The first nine years of her teaching ministry were spent as Director of Choral Activities at Orange Lutheran High School (CA) where she oversaw a comprehensive vocal music program and more than 250 singers. An advocate of the importance of training musicians for the church, she recently finished production on "Children Making Music," a DVD project sponsored by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod and funded by The Schwan Foundation that made its' debut at music conferences in both the US and Canada. Currently, she is a member of the Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale, one of the country's only professional choirs. Lyndsay is married to her college sweetheart, Ryan, and the two are proud parents of Lexi (8) and Tessa (5), who both attend Christ's Greenfield Lutheran School. The Ermelings are honored to call Christ's Greenfield their "home away from home!"
