Our Goals for Christ's Greenfield Graduates

Spiritually, a graduate of CGLS...

  • Loves the Lord with all his/her heart, soul, and mind
  • Understands what he/she believes about the Triune God
  • Understands why he/she believes in the Triune God
  • Knows his/her faith is founded securely upon the nature and promises of God
  • Understands what the Lutheran doctrine teaches in comparison to other Christian denominations and non-Christian faiths
  • Searches the Holy Bible for answers to the questions of life
  • Makes God-pleasing decisions for his/her life based on the Holy Bible
  • Stands firm and defends his/her Christian faith
  • Is comfortable and willing to pray at all times and in all places
  • Has important passages of the Holy Bible memorized
  • Knows his/her spiritual gifts and seeks ways to use them for God’s glory
  • Knows his/her purpose in life is to glorify God in all he/she does
  • Is humble at heart yet strong in the Lord

Socially, a graduate of CGLS...

  • Loves others as him/her self
  • Strives to “be” a neighbor, not just know who his/her neighbor is
  • Has a heart for the outcast, the lonely, and the rejected
  • Demonstrates the love of Christ in his/her words and actions
  • Fosters respect
  • Is responsible
  • Is independent
  • Is organized
  • Has good manners
  • Enlarges his/her circle of friends in order to bring others to Christ

Cognitively, a graduate of CGLS...

  • Knows Truth is founded in the nature of the Triune God and nowhere else
  • Sees knowledge as a gift from the Triune God
  • Uses his/her God-given talents to the best of his/her God-given ability
  • Has a hunger and thirst for knowledge
  • Takes ownership in his/her learning
  • Demonstrates effective study skills
  • Demonstrates effective problem solving
  • Applies critical thinking to life situations
  • Makes decisions based on the Holy Bible

Emotionally, a graduate of CGLS…

  • Knows he/she was created by God and is therefore of great worth
  • Trusts God above all others
  • Is trustworthy and can be trusted
  • Controls his/her emotions
  • Demonstrates healthy outlets
  • Lives in God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand
  • Has a positive image of who God created him/her to be
  • Knows when to ask others for help
  • Feels safe in sharing his/her feelings
  • Deals with sin as the Holy Bible instructs (admit, confess, forgive)

Physically, a graduate of CGLS...

  • Views self as the temple of God
  • Presents a God-pleasing outward appearance
  • Has healthy eating habits
  • Rejects drug and alcohol use
  • Participates in recreational activities
  • Stays physically fit
