A History of Our School

In January of 1986, a small group of education-minded congregants at Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church formed Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Preschool. The preschool opened its doors that year to six students. The Lord blessed the ministry and today there are over 200 children in the preschool and pre-kindergarten programs. The preschool provides educational excellence in an atmosphere of Christian love. In partnership with parents, we provide developmentally appropriate, activity-based, and Christ-centered curriculum to meet children's spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs. The Preschool is accredited through National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. CGLP was one of the first preschools in the Phoenix metropolitan areas to become nationally accredited. CGLP has maintained the strict standards of the NAEYC accreditation for over 15 years.

Seeing the need to expand Christian education, the elementary was formed in 1995, with the addition of a kindergarten class. Additional grades were added in subsequent years and today the enrollment includes grades Kindergarten through eight. God has truly blessed us at Christ's Greenfield Lutheran School with students, parents, teachers, and staff that have formed a close-knit family who care and support each other as we grow together in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord and His creation.

As a school we are associated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We hold that the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God given to His people as a guide, rule, and norm for living. The faculty and staff are committed to assisting parents in developing their children in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.
